Speakers Bio:
For Zia Malik, organisational change doesn’t just mean adopting new processes and working in new ways. It isn’t even simply about thinking in new ways. True transformation requires challenging beliefs, and that means changing people from the inside.
Zia is one of a small number of Certified Enterprise Coaches with the Scrum Alliance, and an experienced Agile trainer, Certified Scrum Trainer CST and professionally trained coach in business and personal coaching, accredited by the International Coach Federation.
Zia has worked as an enterprise coach with individuals, teams and organisations in a range of industries, including fintech, aerospace, pharma and retail.
He works with frameworks such as Scrum, but recognises that these don’t exist in a vacuum. People work within them and adapt to them, and Zia spends much of his time focusing on the psychological motivations and barriers involved in personal and organisational change. Ultimately, it’s about moving from structures and mindsets inherited from the Industrial Revolution towards a smarter way of organising ourselves.
Zia’s training and coaching are both inspiring and thought-provoking, aimed at giving people a set of tools, techniques and concepts they can use to achieve and sustain genuine transformation.
Topic: Future-Proofing Work, Skills and Agility in the 2030 Workplace, Essential Steps for Growth
Location: St James Main Room
Speakers: Giuseppe De Simone, Coach (CEC, CTC, ORSC), Trainer (CST), Stategic Consultant
LinkedIn https://www.linkedin.com/in/giuseppedesimone/
Description:
As we approach 2030, the world of work is evolving at an unprecedented pace, bringing both challenges and opportunities for organizations worldwide. Recent reports highlight that every employee will need to develop three additional skills to stay effective in their roles over the next decade. Agile teams already recognize the power of cross-functionality, but this adaptability is becoming essential for everyone.
At the same time, the Great Reshuffle has underscored the importance of workplaces that foster growth, engagement, and a strong company culture—especially for Gen Z.
The pandemic accelerated the shift to remote and hybrid workby a decade, and this new flexibility is here to stay, helping companies retain talent and reduce their carbon footprint. Meanwhile, the rapid rise of Artificial Intelligence is rendering jobs focused on a single, repetitive task increasingly obsolete.
So, how can both organizations and workers navigate this complexity and stay relevant in the future?
In this session, we’ll tackle this pressing question by exploring the critical role of skill development in fostering agility, employee retention, and equitable opportunities. Research shows that companies that prioritize skill-building retain employees twice as
long. We’ll dive into practical strategies for cultivating a learning-driven culture, empowering individuals and teams with the mindset, skills, and practices needed to thrive in an ever-changing world—no matter the size of the organization.

Topic: Meet Sally, Your new AI Scrum Team Master
Location: St James Main Room
Speakers: Engy Abu Hamila, Head of Agile & Mai Fouad, Agile Coach
Linkedin: https://www.linkedin.com/in/maifouada/
https://www.linkedin.com/in/engy-abu-hamila/
Description:
It was the first day of the sprint, and something was different. Alongside the usual Scrum team of developers, the Product Owner and the Scrum Master, there was a new team member, one without a face but with a name: Sally. Sally wasn’t human, she was an AI-powered assistant, designed to enhance efficiency, decision-making, innovation and even suggest user stories based on the user behaviour data. Some team members were curious others, were suspicious. This session tells the story of Sally and what it means when AI joins the Scrum team. Through this narrative, we’ll explore the potential roles and benefits of AI as a Scrum team member, examining its ability to automate repetitive tasks, provide predictive analytics and facilitate continuous learning. Additionally, the session will address potential challenges of integrating AI with a scrum team such as maintaining psychological safety, ensuring inclusivity and balancing AI capabilities with human strengths. Furthermore, the session will discuss what AI integration might bring to the future of agility and agile practices. As AI continues to evolve, it has the potential to influence traditional agile methodologies, fostering a more adaptive and responsive approach to agile ways of working. We’ll journey through typical Scrum events — sprint planning, daily scrums, sprint reviews and sprint retrospectives — and show how AI could contribute meaningfully in each while surfacing the tension between machine intelligence and human intuition.
Join us to explore what it looks like when AI becomes more than just a tool and starts becoming a teammate. Are you ready to meet Sally?

Linkedin: https://www.linkedin.com/in/khurrambhatti/
Description:
Have you ever been in a situation where team members are in an apparent conflict? There is less conversation, and subtle and nonverbal cues from the team say a lot! Tell me about it. During my journey as an Agile Coach, I faced numerous challenges in building and leading effective teams. It was challenging for me to read the emotions and thoughts of the people and determine appropriate action, and I felt frustrated and curious simultaneously. Curiosity opened new doors for me to understand underlying behaviours and team dynamics, giving me new lenses through which to look at the team and help them better. In this workshop, we will explore the various roles people might play in teams, as well as the associated behaviours. There will be role-plays to simulate situations you might face in your daily work, and we will use group wisdom to devise different ways to generate ideas. Remember, magic happens in conversations. Learning Outcomes 1) Identify and handle resistance from team members 2) Explain different roles and behaviours in the team 3) Evaluate a situation and discuss ways to handle it

Location: St James Main Room
Speaker: Matt Trenchard, Co Founder of North Point Academy, Certified Professional Coach
Linkedin: https://www.linkedin.com/in/matttrenchard/
Description:
Longer Change initiatives have been failing for decades. Even with the rise of Agile frameworks designed to help organisations navigate complexity and adapt to change, many still struggle to realise their promised benefits. The result? Frustrated teams, performative agility, and transformations that never truly take root. At the same time, we stand at the edge of a new disruption: AI is just beginning to automate white- collar knowledge work-and this trend is accelerating fast. As predictable tasks are handed to machines, the value of human work is shifting toward what cannot be automated: creativity, deep human connection, and the ability to navigate ambiguity. In this talk, leadership coach Matt Trenchard argues that organisational transformation cannot succeed without personal transformation. Drawing on coaching insights, leadership development research, and real-world examples, he explores how the inner work of leadership-awareness, adaptability, relational depth-has become not a luxury, but a necessity. This session is a call to action for leaders: to go beyond frameworks, to do the personal work of change, and to become the kind of humans this future urgently needs.

Description:
In today’s fast-changing, high-complexity environments, data and logic alone are not enough to lead people through uncertainty. Agile leaders, coaches, and Scrum Masters often encounter resistance, fear, and disengagement—not because of the change itself, but because of the stories people tell themselves about the change. This talk introduces Narrative Intelligence (NI)—an emerging form of intelligence that goes beyond Emotional Intelligence to help leaders detect, decode, and reshape the stories that drive human behavior. Drawing from the science of Storythinking, this session explores how stories are not just tools for communication, but powerful thinking processes that help us solve problems, make meaning, and imagine new futures. Through real-world Agile scenarios, reflective coaching prompts, and practical frameworks, participants will learn how to use NI as a tool to coach individuals and teams through complex transitions—reframing limiting narratives, fostering resilience, and activating creativity in the face of ambiguity. Whether you are a Scrum Master, Agile Coach, Product Owner, or Change Leader, this workshop will expand your coaching capacity and leadership impact — helping you lead not just by processes, but by unlocking the human stories that fuel true agility. Come ready to listen differently, coach differently, and lead differently. . Learning Objectives:
By the end of this workshop, participants will be able to:
- Introduce Narrative Intelligence (NI) as a next-level leadership capability for Agile professionals navigating change and uncertainty.
- Highlight the science of Story thinking—exploring how story functions as a cognitive tool for planning, problem-solving, and innovation.
- Equip leaders and coaches with practical techniques to surface, reframe, and reshape limiting narratives within themselves and their teams.
- Explain how to apply NI in Agile events and coaching conversations to build resilience, meaning, and alignment.
